How ToAdd Video to your Property Website

Rela's single property website templates offer multiple options when it comes to adding videos.

INTRODUCTION

Incorporating videos into your single property website is a great way to increase engagement with site visitors. Our templates provide multiple presentation options for your videos. To get started, click on the Videos & 3D Tours link in the Property Edit menu.

UPLOADING A VIDEO

When uploading a video, you can either upload your MP4 file directly, or you can use a Vimeo or YouTube link. For Vimeo and Youtube videos, you only need to provide the URL to the video, you don't need the full embed code.

Video Display options

There are 2 display options to choose from - Cover or In-Page. All of our templates support either option, and you can change the display setting at anytime after the video has been uploaded.

Cover Video

The cover video will be dynamically sized to fill the entire area of the cover section, and automatically play in the hero section of the property website when the site loads. Because the size of the video will be determined by the visitor's browser size, our templates will crop a small portion of the edges to ensure the video maintains its original aspect ration. For best results, we recommend that the cover video doesn't include text, or has any text positioned in the center of the video. Check out an example of what this looks like on our Karr template.

In-Page Videos

In-Page videos will be displayed in a more traditional video gallery format that is embedded into the body of the property website. This is a great option if you want to showcase multiple videos for your listing, or if you prefer a more subtle presentation than the cover video option.

When uploading multiple videos you can drag-and-drop them into the order that you would like displayed.

You you want to move a Cover Video to the In-Page section or vice versa, just click the settings button in the upper-right corner of the video display to open the Move Video form:

BRANDED VS UNBRANDED

When adding videos to your property website, you can determine if they should be visible on your branded site, unbranded site, or both. For In-Page videos, click the Visibility dropdown to choose the appropriate setting.

For Cover Videos, click the + icon in the appropriate box:

Quick tip for Cover Videos:  If you only have 1 video for both the branded and unbranded websites, you only need to upload the video the unbranded slot. If you have separate videos for your branded and unbranded websites, you can add them to their designated spots.
